"GRACE GIRL"!

Written by TTM (2015)

Have you ever felt like life was just passing you by while all you do is work, church, school, kids, ministry, etc? It’s imperative that we keep moving because we have to get ahead, right? I myself have felt like a virtual office is living in my head trying to keep all the things I need to complete on track, only to realize the demand is exhausting or at times, even overwhelming. Furthermore, for the last 30 days, I was told by my employer, we cannot cover payroll due to federal funding shortages, but to please stick it out with us. The way this translated to me was: work overtime, come early-time/stay late, get the job done and we will pay you as soon as we can… In other words, work, toil, struggle, and keep fighting to get ahead, perhaps it will pay off after a while. Is this familiar in some way to you too? Trying to get ahead is like the new job in itself.

Well, thank God for the still small voice that speaks to our hearts reminding us, as frequently as needed, that His GRACE is available, every-time… all the time. GRACE is simply God’s ability and strength living inside of your most inner-being to support you beyond the toil, struggle and exhaustion of work-life. It’s God’s strength that keeps you moving upstream when the world around you is moving down stream. As I glace over my life, I can see where GRACE has been at work all along… I am a GRACE-GIRL (GG).

A GG

The beauty of GRACE is that it supersedes human effort and toil - it becomes supernatural strength swaddled in great peace. The bible says in Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Jesus Christ that strengthens me”. This strength begins and ends with fully trusting in the Holy Spirit to help you manage the many waves and demands of a busy work-life and all your provision… Here are two scriptures that might help:

• Proverb 3:5 (KJV) - trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding, but in all you ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

• Philippians 4:19 – my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

The GG is persuaded that God is her one true source and sustainer of life and with Him, she will always rise to the top. Your plate might be full, like mine (responsibilities, ministry, family, etc.,) but keep trusting God for His GRACE to rest upon your life for all provision, creative energy, and stamina during the most demanding times. God loves you and His GRACE will see you through.
